Recuperated Ichida comes back to JCP Secretariat head job

Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi has returned to his job after several months of medical leave. This was announced by JCP Chair Shii Kazuo at a news conference on May 8.

Ichida told the press that thanks to the rehabilitation exercises he did, he felt healthier than before.

JCP Policy Commission Chair Fudesaka Hideyo will continue to act as secretariat head, Shii said.

At the news conference Shii also said that JCP membership as of the end of April was 401,191. He said that a JCP membership of over 400,000 has been achieved by the JCP's October-April drive for membership and increased Akahata readership. (end)
