JCP Ogata visits Indonesian Embassy

Japanese Communist Party International Bureau director and the House of Councilors member Ogata Yasuo on July 4 visited the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo to meet with Djoko Hardono, the charge d'affaires of Indonesia.

Ogata talked with Hardono about his visit to Indonesia last month (as the first JCP representative to visit) and about his meeting with officials from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry and the Non-Aligned Movement Center. Expressing his satisfaction with this meaningful trip, Ogata said that he hopes to develop relations between the JCP and the Indonesian Embassy and Foreign Ministry.

The ambassador explained to Ogata the Indonesian basic policy, which focuses on the non-aligned movements and the domestic situation. They also talked about the problems of peace in Asia and the world. (end)
