JCP Int'l Bureau chief visits Egyptian ambassador

Ogata Yasuo, Japanese Communist Party International Bureau director and member of the House of Councilors, on July 25 visited the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt to meet Ambassador to Japan Mahmoud Karem, and exchanged opinions on ways to develop relations between the JCP and the Egyptian government.

The ambassador started his welcome greeting by asking Ogata to convey his gratitude to JCP Chair Shii Kazuo for having attended a reception on the July 16th Egyptian National Day.

Ogata showed his appreciation for the significant role that Egypt plays in the Nonaligned Movement, the New Agenda Coalition, and especially the 2002 World Conference against A & H Bombs, which Mahmoud Mubarak, assistant minister of Foreign Affairs, will attend. (end)
