Nagasaki calls on U.S. to stop N-tests

The Nagasaki Prefectural Assembly on October 2 adopted a unanimous resolution calling for an end to all U.S. subcritical nuclear tests.

The resolution expressed deep regret over the subcritical nuclear test carried out by the U.S. at the Nevada test site on September 26 (local time).

The assembly has issued similar resolutions protesting nine out of 19 subcritical nuclear tests conducted by the U.S., and Governor Kaneko Harajiro has sent protest letters every time a nuclear test took place. (end)
