JCP Ogata meets with Malaysian minister and Lower House member

Japanese Communist Party International Bureau Director Ogata Yasuo on February 26 met with the Malaysian vice-minister of International Trade and Industry, Quek Chou Ting, and Lower House member, Ng Rip Yong.

Ogata, who is also a member of the House of Councilors, was visiting Malaysia to attend the 13th Non-Aligned Summit (February 24-25). They met at the headquarters of the Min Zhong Party, a Chinese-Malaysian party which Ting works for as a vice-chair.

They exchanged opinions about the Non-Aligned Summit and globalization.

Ogata, who was also invited to the Min Zhong Party Central Committee meeting, introduced the JCP's international activities for strengthening peace, including JCP members' visits to China, Middle East countries, and South Asian countries. (end)
