JCP runs one of the best-visited websites carrying war-related information

A survey has found that the Japanese Communist Party's web pages ranked 2nd and 3rd among the 20 best-accessed Iraq war-related web pages.

The survey was published on the Internet by Aoyama Teiichi, director of the Environmental Research Institute Organization.

In conducting the survey, Aoyama typed the keywords "Iraq," "attack," and "war" on the worldwide-known web search engine "Google," which lists web pages in order of their accessed number.

In the list of about 120,000 web pages, the JCP's pages which carry Akahata articles reporting various anti-war campaigns won 2nd and 3rd places, followed by the "World Peace Now" (4th) and the New Japan Women's Association (17th).

The JCP has received many calls, faxes, and e-mails appreciating its website informing the public of the nature of the Iraq war and posting the schedule of anti-war rallies and demonstrations. (end)
