JCP leaders take to streets calling for jobs for young people

Japanese Communist Party members on August 23 led a signature collection action in Tokyo and Osaka calling on the government and corporations to take responsible actions to secure jobs for young people.

In Tokyo's Shibuya, a district popular with young people, JCP Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi together with Democratic Youth League of Japan (DYLJ) members called on passers-by to give their signatures to influence the government and take a first step to ensure that job scarcity among Japanese youth be solved swiftly.

About 100 participants in the Shibuya action, including Ichida, took part in the signature collection campaign, a national campaign proposed by the DYLJ, demanding that the government take measures to secure jobs for young people. (end)
