Gensuikyo holds Bikini Day rally

On February 29, about 1,200 people attended the national assembly the Japan Council against A & H Bombs (Japan Gensuikyo) held in Shizuoka City to remember the Bikini Tragedy and step up the signature collection campaign throughout the country calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons.

Takakusagi Hiroshi, secretary general of Japan Gensuikyo, called on the people to further Gensuikyo's signature campaign "Abolish Nuclear Weapons Now!" at the grassroots level in order to make 2005 the turning point for the anti-nuclear movement. (end)
