JCP Ogata meets with Chinese researchers

On May 10 in Beijing, Japanese Communist Party House of Councilors member Ogata Yasuo lectured on "the current world situation and the JCP" at the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China.

Ogata, who is also director of the JCP International Bureau, discussed with professors and graduate students issues of Iraq and East Asia, development of Islamic societies, and new currents in Asia and Latin America.

The JCP representative went to China as a member of a delegation of the Parliamentary Members' League for Japan-China Friendship. After the delegation's official visit was over on May 9, he met with Chinese researchers of various fields. (end)
