JCP supporters' group distributes audiotapes to visually impaired people

A group of visually impaired people supporting the Japanese Communist Party is sending out audiotapes to let the blind know about JCP policies and ask them to vote for the JCP in the House of Councilors election on July 11.

The group has made 1,300 tape recordings on JCP policies and achievements in the interest of the blind, including the enactment of the barrier-free transportation law and an effort to make train stations safer for the blind.

A group member said, "The JCP calls for seven measures for visually impaired people, including more station staff and platform fences separating passengers from trains to prevent blind riders from falling on the tracks. We will increase this campaign to realize these keen demands." (end)
