 Medical Article 9 Association founded Doctors and medical students have established an Article 9 Association to take an active part in the nationwide campaign to defend the Constitution. On November 5, a lecture to mark its inauguration was held at Tokyo University, attended by about 200 people. Komori Yoichi, Tokyo University professor and secretary-general of the Article 9 Association, in his lecture pointed out that Article 9 has been working as a deterrence to war in world politics. Twenty-seven medical doctors and professors called for the creation of the Medical Article 9 Association in response to the foundation in June of the Article 9 Association under the initiative of 9 public figures, including Nobel Prize writer Oe Kenzaburo.
