JCP CC Chair Fuwa makes condolence call at Palestine permanent mission

Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo on November 12 visited the Permanent General Mission of Palestine in Tokyo to express his condolences on the death of Yasser Arafat, president of the Palestine Authority.

Fuwa conveyed his condolences to Waleed Siam, head of the mission, and said he hoped that the Palestinians achieve an advance toward statehood for Palestine according to the intention of President Arafat and for Middle East peace and stability.

Fuwa in the condolence callers' notebook wrote as follows:

"I will never forget my meetings with Chairman Yasser Arafat in Tokyo in 1981 and 1989 and the discussion we had on various issues concerning Palestine.
