Fuwa attends reception on 50th anniersary of Japan-Saudi friendship

Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo attended a reception on April 12 held by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan
Faisal Hassan Trad to mark the 50th anniversary of th establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan.

Ambassador Trad in his speech looked back on the beginning of Saudi relations with Japan and emphasized the importance of world unity for peace. He said all disputes between nations should be resolved through negotiations. Even if such efforts fail, resolution efforts must be in conformity with international law instead of use of force.

In his conversation with Ambassador Trad, Fuwa said, "Thank you for inviting me to the reception. I want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Saudi Embassy for its cooperation with us in sending our delegation to your country."
