War bereaved families establish Article 9 Association On August 15 marking the 60th anniversary of the Pacific War's end, families that lost their loved ones in the war established their own "Article 9 Association." At the inauguration meeting held on the same day, participants confirmed that they will make efforts to publicly tell the truth about the war as people who lost their loved ones in the war and to defend the war-renouncing Article 9. By August 15, 130 people have expressed their support for the Association which calls for an effort not to make more war dead or bereaved families. -- Akahata, August 16, 2005 |
