JCP Ogata holds talks with European Parliamentarian Morgantini Ogata Yasuo, Japanese Communist Party vice chair and International Bureau director, on March 31 met with Luisa Morgantini, a European United Left member of the European Parliament, at the JCP head office. Morgantini was in Japan as the European Parliament Development Committee chair to give a lecture on the issue of development at a United Nations University seminar. In speaking about the issues of peace, development, and poverty reduction, Morgantini emphasized the importance of opposing wars, nuclear weapons, and neoliberalism. -Akahata, April 1, 2006 |
