Fuwa to visit China for theoretical meeting with CPC

At the invitation of the Communist Party of China, Fuwa Tetsuzo, former Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair, will visit Beijing to have the second round of theoretical discussions with the CPC.

During his visit starting on May 22, Fuwa, presently the JCP Social Sciences Institute director, will give a lecture on "Marxism in the 21st-century" at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in addition to the theoretical exchange between the two parties.

The CPC in 2004 launched a project of research and building of Marxist theory as a strategic task for development of activities of the CPC and the nation.

Last December, a CPC research delegation was sent to Tokyo to have the first theoretical talks with a JCP delegation led by Fuwa.

Fuwa will be accompanied by Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo, Social Sciences Institute Vice Director Yamaguchi Tomio, and Osaka Prefectural Committee Vice Chair Yamashita Yoshiki.
