Kadena Town Assembly protests against PAC-3 equipment delivery

The Kadena Town Assembly Special Committee on Bases in Okinawa issued a statement on October 4 expressing "indignant protest from residents' point of view" against the U.S. delivery of equipment for the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC3) interceptor-missile system to the U.S. Kadena Air Base.

The U.S. forces since October 2 have been delivering PAC-3 equipment to the Kadena base.

The Kadena Town Assembly in June adopted a resolution demanding the withdrawal of the plan agreed on between the Japanese and U.S. governments to deploy PAC-3 missiles to the Kadena base.
