Ogata meets with Malaysian ambassador

Japanese Communist Party Vice Chair Ogata Yasuo on November 30 visited the Malaysian Embassy in Tokyo and spoke with Ambassador Radzi Abdul Rahman who has recently assumed his post.

When a JCP delegation headed by Chair Fuwa Tetsuzo visited Malaysia in 1999, Radzi made arrangements for the delegation as a Malaysian minister to Japan.

Ogata welcomed Radzi and said that he is pleased at the development of relations between Malaysia and the JCP as well as the Japanese anti-nuclear peace movement that the JCP delegation's visit to Malaysia led to.

Ogata and Radzi exchanged views on the situations in Malaysia, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the non-aligned movement.
