Stop U.S. nuclear aircraft carrier from being deployed to Yokosuka
A citizensf group in Yokosuka City submitted to the local Election Administration Committee more than 50,000 signatures bearing citizensf call for an ordinance to hold a referendum on the planned deployment of a U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to the U.S. base in Tokyo Bay.


Japan should take up the issue of abolishing nuclear weapons at G8 Summit
Japanese Communist Party member of the House of Councilors Inoue Satoshi said that Summit agreements have been bound by the gnon-proliferationh framework and that the agenda for the upcoming Toyako Summit only refers to the implementation of the goal of the NPT.
