JCP May Day slogans published
The Japanese Communist Party has published its slogans for the 81st May Day:
- Create a society where all call work as regular workers!
- Fully revise the Worker Dispatch Law to ensure decent living conditions for workers!
- Create all workersf solidarity to win a drastic increase in wages!
- Establish a national minimum wage system with 1,000 yen hourly wages!
- Establish public contracts law and ordinances!
- End wage disparity between men and women!
- Stop long-working hours and unpaid overtime work!
- Force large corporations to return their excessive accumulation of profits to increase employment and improve the peoplefs living conditions!
- Recognize that medium- and small-sized businesses are the foundation of the economy by establishing a charter for medium- and small-sized companies!
- Have the economy driven by domestic demand and achieve healthy economic development!
- Establish an economy governed by rules in order to overcome economic crisis!
- Promote local economies!
- Revitalize agriculture, forestry, and fisheries industries in order to increase Japanfs food self-sufficiency rate!
- Ensure food safety!
- Take responsible measures against global warming and preserve world environment!
- Change policy to increase expenditures for social welfare services!
- Abolish medical insurance system that discriminates against the elderly aged 75 and older!
- Ensure safe and friendly medical services!
- Improve nursing-care services!
- Swiftly abolish the law to gassist self-supporth of the disabled and create a law to guarantee their human rights!
- Improve public child-care services so that there are no small children on the waiting lists for childcare centers!
- Limit public school class size to 30 students per class! Provide free education for all high school students, and reduce college fees!
- Cut military expenditures and revise generous tax exemptions for large corporations and the wealthy!
- Foil consumption tax hike that will lead to increasing poverty and social gaps!
- Do not allow revision of Article 9 of the Constitution that will pave the way for turning Japan into a war-fighting nation!
- Block destruction of democracy under the name of gDiet reformh as well as revision of the government interpretation of the Constitution!
- Make full use of the Constitution in the peoplefs livelihoods!
- Unconditionally remove the U.S. Futenma base!
- No to realignment and reinforcement of U.S. bases in Japan!
- Abrogate the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty!
- Change Japanfs diplomacy to an independent one working for peace!
- Start international negotiations for the abolition of nuclear weapons!
- Nullify Japan-U.S. secret arrangements on nuclear weapons!
- Put an end to gnuclear deterrenceh policy!
- Fully investigate plutocratic scandals!
- Ban political donations by corporations and organizations!
- End paying unconstitutional public subsidies to political parties!
- Nothing can be gained from power-shifting between two major parties!
- Expand national cooperation to create an independent and peaceful Japan!
- Letfs achieve advance of the Japanese Communist Party: the new flag bearer for a truly democratic Japan!
