Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on May 29 published a statement on the Final Document of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference closing on May 28.

Shii criticizes Hatoyama for ignoring Okinawans' demands
Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo criticized the Hatoyama government decision as betraying the promise to move the Futenma base "outside the prefecture or even outside the country" and disregarding the Okinawans' determination to oppose the relocation within the prefecture.
