Shii at Mindan’s ceremony pledges Japan-South Korea friendship
Citing the historical fact that Japan’s annexation of Korea was perpetrated by the aggression of the Japanese Army and by militarily suppressing the Korean people’s resistance, Shii stated that the JCP holds the position that the annexation treaty was illegal and unjustifiable, which Japan imposed by military coercion.

JCP issues statement commemorating 65th anniversary of WWII’s end
JCP Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi expressed the party’s heartfelt condolences for all who died during the Japanese war of aggression and the Japanese colonial rule while putting particular emphasis on the effort to establish an international and Asian peace order based on the United Nation Charter.

National government employees’ wage to be reduced for second year in a row
