Shii sends congratulatory message to Brazilian President Rousseff Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on November 1 sent a congratulatory message to Brazilfs newly-elected President Dilma Rousseff. His message is as follows: Please accept our heartfelt congratulations on your election as president, with strong public support for your promise on the continuation and development of the changes carried out by the government headed by President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva. We have been following with keen interest the advance of the changes in Latin America to democratize economic relations and shed dependence on the United States, especially the role played by the incumbent government of Brazil in the process. We hope that your government, led by the first female president in your country, will continue to be successful in implementing policies to promote economic development and uplifting peoplefs livelihoods and rights, as well as to establish an international order of peace and justice, according to the peoplefs will expressed in the elections.
