Shii meets with five Arab ambassadors

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo met with five members of the Council of Arab Ambassadors at the JCP head office in Tokyo. They exchanged views on peace in the Middle East and the abolition of nuclear weapons.

A union for central government workers in Okinawa says those on 24-hour surveillance duty at Henoko do not want to be seen to be in conflict with fellow Okinawans, criticizing the state for using its workers to infringe on people’s right to protest.

US fighters fly from Japan to Middle East to bomb IS militants

Akahata Sunday edition has found that F-16 fighter jets from the U.S. Misawa base (Aomori Pref.) took part in the bombing campaigns against the IS militant group. It shows that the U.S. bases in Japan are not to defend Japan but attack ‘enemies’, says Akahata.
