The Japanese Communist Party has announced a new proposal to decommission all nuclear power plants in Japan.
JCP Chair Shii Kazuo, in his address at the central May Day rally in Tokyo, stated that the party will demand that the government “formulate a policy that sets a deadline for the permanent shutdown of all existing nuclear power plants in Japan.”
