JCP Kokuta and CDPJ Azumi discuss cooperation in confronting gov't

Japanese Communist Party Diet Policy Commission Chair Kokuta Keiji on August 29 received a visit from his counterpart in the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, Azumi Jun, at the JCP anteroom in the Diet building.

They discussed collaborating in the Diet regarding issues of former Prime Minister Abe's "state funeral", LDP-Moonies links, COVID-19 pandemic, and inflation.

Azumi said that he wants to work together with other opposition parties to press the government to hold Diet discussions with the attendance of PM Kishida Fumio in regard to the issue of a state funeral for former PM Abe.

Kokuta in response said that it will be important for opposition parties to cooperate in confronting the Kishida government over the issues which include the Moonies and Abe's state funeral.
