TRICKS OF WORDING CANNOT DECEIVE THE PUBLIC
The Japanese government explains that the Self-Defense Forces deployed in Iraq as part of the multinational force will "not come under the unified command," deliberately distorting the U.N. resolution stating that the multinational force will come "under unified command."

JCP MEMBER WINS HIS THIRD TERM AS KOMAE CITY MAYOR
Backed by a citizens' group embracing a wide spectrum of interests which include the JCP, Yano Yutaka, the incumbent mayor and JCP member, won his third term by defeating the challenger supported by the Liberal Democratic, Komei, and Democratic parties.

A GREATER JCP PRESENCE IN PARLIAMENT WILL PAVE THE WAY FOR A JAPAN IN WHICH THE PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN HOPE
In an appeal issued at the start of its House of Councilors election campaign, the JCP emphasizes the need to "remake Japan" to cure political illnesses while addressing the problems facing the Japanese people at present.
