"Mr. Fukuda is also a member of pro-constitutional revision forces and subservient to the U.S., and there is no basic difference between Mr. Fukuda and his predecessor, Mr. Abe," JCP Chair Shii stated.
"The JCP is strongly opposed to Japan's continued assistance to the retaliatory war in Afghanistan primarily because waging a retaliatory war in dealing with terrorism is fundamentally wrong," said Shii.
The election results show that voters delivered a severe verdict against those assembly members that forcibly passed the motion of no-confidence in the mayor who is a JCP member.
