    As the inauguration event of the 2020 World Conference against A and H Bombs, the International Meeting was held online and broadcast live through streaming services such as YouTube.

    The National Confederation of Trade Unions (Zenroren) ended its Regular Convention after electing a new leadership under President Obata Masako. This is the first time for a woman to assume the leadership role of a national trade union federation.

    The Hiroshima District Court issued a ruling that 84 plaintiffs be certified as A-bomb survivors (Hibakusha), acknowledging that they were exposed to radioactive “black rain” that came down after the 1945 U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
