CPV delegation meets with young JCP members

The Communist Party of Vietnam delegation visiting Japan for a theoretical exchange meeting with the Japanese Communist Party on October 13 visited the JCP Shinjuku District Committee in Tokyo to talk with young JCP members.

Shinjuku is an area where many corporate head offices and universities are located.

In the meeting, Kuroda Asahi who organizes JCP youth in Shinjuku showed video footage to explain that young JCP members conduct rallies in protest against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and staged a vote-for-JCP campaign in front of university gates during national elections. Kuroda said that more and more young people join the JCP or the Democratic Youth League of Japan through various youth activities.

A student said, “When I was a high school student, we were addressing the issue of irrational school rules and a JCP assemblyperson was the only lawmaker who listened to us. Then, I went on to college and came to see the JCP as a lifelong partner to aspire to the betterment of society, so I decided to join the party.”

Another student said, “I was working on a movement to eliminate sexual harassment on campus and came to understand that we must change the structure of society, not only on campus, to ensure gender equality. Then, I became a JCP member.”

CPV delegation head Nguyen Xuan Thang, after listening to their stories, said he understood well about the importance of the JCP Program and party-building among the young generation through the theoretical exchange meeting with the JCP, and added, “You are the best examples of that importance.” Thang said, “It is said that theory will create practice and practice will create theory. I think you are following this important path.”
