Shii on X: PM Takaichi should voice objections to Trump’s attack on Venezuela |
Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Shii Kazuo in his X post on January 5 stated, “If what President Trump did in Venezuela is tolerated, then the act of ‘changing the status quo by force’ could be carried out elsewhere in the world. This is not just about Venezuela. The global order itself is being challenged.”
Shii added, “If Prime Minister Takaichi doesn’t voice a strong objection to Trump’s criminal action, she will lose forever her right to claim opposition to any attempt to change the status quo by force.”
