JCP EC Chair Tamura meets with outgoing Iranian ambassador

Japanese Communist Party Executive Committee Chair Tamura Tomoko received a visit from Peiman Seadat, the outgoing Iranian ambassador to Japan, on September 29 at the JCP head office in Tokyo.

Tamura expressed her respect for Seadat’s efforts during his tenure in Japan. She stated, “We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that peace returns to Iran as soon as possible while opposing any attacks and wars that violate international law, including those carried out by the U.S. Trump administration against your country.”

Seadat remarked that he will not forget the questions Tamura raised in the Diet nor the street protests the JCP organized with concerned citizens to oppose illegal and unjustified wars. He expressed gratitude for the JCP’s efforts.
