JCP CC Chair Shii on X congratulates Nobel Peace Prize laureate Navi Pillay

Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Shii Kazuo on October 10 made an entry on his X account, congratulating former ICC judge Navi Pillay on winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

In his post, Shii, expressing his heartfelt congratulations, stated, “The awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Pillay serves as a deep condemnation of the war crimes and genocide occurring today, and stands as a message of passionate solidarity for all those fighting and speaking out against such acts.” He added, “The Japanese government’s stance, often criticized for lacking a firm attitude of opposition to the U.S. Trump administration’s attacks on the ICC, is also severely called into question.”
