Ichida meets with Chinese embassy’s councilor

Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Ichida Tadayoshi on November 26 met with councilor of the Chinese Embassy in Japan Zhao Wei in the Diet building.

The councilor reported on the recent meeting which was held in China to discuss the nation’s relations with its neighboring countries.

Ichida explained the JCP policy on diplomatic issues that any disputes arising among any nations should be settled through diplomatic and political means, not military ones.

JCP international commission talks with CPRF vice chair

Members of the Japanese Communist Party International Commission on November 28 at the JCP head office received Vice Chair of Communist Party of the Russian Federation Dmitriy Novkov who was visiting Japan as a member of the Russian parliamentarians’ study group.

JCP International Commission Vice Chair Nishiguchi Hikaru talked about the JCP’s major advance in the July Upper House election and other party activities as well as the 26th Congress in preparation scheduled for January 2014.

The CPRF vice chair reported about their activities under the Russian administration led by President Vladimir Putin.

Shii attends Japan-South Korea parliamentarians’ joint meeting

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo and other JCP lawmakers on November 29 took part in a general meeting jointly held by the Japan-Korea Parliamentarians’ Union and its South Korean counterpart in the Diet building with about 100 lawmakers of the two unions attending.

Accompanied by JCP Diet Policy Commission Chair Kokuta Keiji who is a member of the Japanese union’s standing committee and JCP Lower House member Kasai Akira, Shii who serves as an adviser to the Japanese union exchanged greetings with South Korean union members.

In the meeting, Hwang Woo-yea, chair of the Korea-Japan Parliamentarians’ Union and head of the South Korean ruling party, stressed that if the two nations solve pending issues and cooperate with each other, it will greatly contribute to the peace and prosperity of the two nations, the Northeast Asia, and the rest of the world.
