Diplomats from 11 nations visit Akahata Festival

At the invitation of the Japanese Communist Party, officials of 11 foreign embassies visited the 41st Akahata Festival held in Tokyo from November 1 to 3.

On the second day, they listened to JCP Chair Shii Kazuo’s commemorative address provided with the simultaneous English interpretation.

Some ambassadors said, “I’m surprised to see so many people joining the JCP’s festival,” and “I didn’t know that Japanese workers’ real wages have been declining. Shii’s speech was concrete with many examples and thus very persuasive.”

The 11 countries who sent representatives are Bulgaria, China, Cuba, El Salvador, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Liberia, Tunisia, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
