Subcontracted workers at Fukushima N-plant subject to severe health risks

Highly-radioactive compartments have been found at TEPCO’s Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. Subcontract workers are tackling the crisis in spite of the severe health risks even five months after the outbreak of the nuclear crisis.

The International Meeting of the 2011 World Conference against A & H Bombs was held for three days from August 3 in Hiroshima City. The meeting adopted a declaration, calling for an immediate start of negotiations for an international convention to ban and eliminate nuclear weapons.

JCP proposes 4 points needed to protect children and general public from radioactive contamination

Japanese Communist Party on August 11 issued a proposal to minimize radiation exposure of the general public, children in particular, from radioactive contamination being caused by the ongoing Fukushima nuclear power plant crisis.
