Japanese and U.S. negotiators reached agreement to relocate the U.S. Marine Corps Futenma Air Station in Okinawa's Ginowan City to U.S. Camp Schwab in Nago City in defiance of strong public opposition.

JCP CALLS FOR POPULAR MAJORITY OPPOSING CONSTITUTIONAL REVISION
The LIberal Democratic Party finalized a draft of a new constitution to be published in November at the LDP Congress marking the party's 50th founding anniversary.
