It has been 60 years since Japan and South Korea signed the Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea. The need is for Japan to show a proactive stance in resolving issues stemming from its past war of aggression and colonial rule.
Tanaka Terumi, a representative director of the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations (Nihon Hidankyo), said that the U.S. attack on Iran’s nuclear sites “is an unforgivable outrage.”
Japanese Communist Party Executive Committee Chair Tamura and Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan President Noda agreed that the two parties will work together and join forces in the House of Councilors election next month.
