Adequate compensation should be promptly provided to businesses adversely affected by coronavirus emergency in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hyogo

The Suga government has declared the third state of emergency in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hyogo prefectures, lasting 17 days until May 11 in order to curb the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases in western Japan and Tokyo.

JCP urges gov't to cut GHG emissions by more than 50%

The JCP will press the Japanese government to impose a reduction target of more than 50% and to draw up a proactive action plan prior to the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) slated for November.
