Redevelopment project of Tokyo's 'sports mecca' goes against sports promotion

Associated with a redevelopment project underway in the Meiji Gingu Gaien area (outer garden of the Meiji Shrine), six rubber-baseball grounds and a batting practice range will be closed and tennis courts will be available for use only by dues-paying members.

LGBT bill far from eliminating discrimination becomes law

JCP Chair Shii noted that all parties three years ago agreed on a bill aimed at banning LGBT discrimination. However, he said, the ruling parties and their supplementary parties bulldozed through a bill whose aim is completely different from the previous agreement.

JCP submits revision bills to ensure women's reproductive decision-making rights

The JCP-proposed bills are responding to the global trend respecting women's right to self-determination and decriminalizing abortion.
