G8 summit should not intervene in democratization in Middle East

The G8 Summit held in Deauville, France, illustrated its intention to maintain U.S. and European influence in the Middle East and North Africa. Their intervention has led to increased confusion in the region. Increasing their intervention brings added difficulties in the process of pressing for democratization.

JCP launches signature campaign calling for withdrawal from nuclear power generation

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on May 26 announced that the JCP launched a signature-collection campaign calling for the total withdrawal from nuclear power generation.
