Evidence of ‘comfort women’ coercion exists: Gov’t admits

The Abe Cabinet for the first time admitted to the fact that publicly-discovered materials include evidence proving that the Japanese Imperial Army had used coercion to take away women to make them work as “comfort women”.

Hate speech should never be tolerated: JCP

Outrageous attacks against certain races, ethnic groups, or foreign nationals “should never be allowed” even though the Constitution guarantees the freedom of expression, association, and assembly. It demands that national and local governments strictly respond to such attacks.

JCP doubles its seats in Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election

The Japanese Communist Party more than doubled its number of seats from eight to 17 as a result of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election on June 23, becoming the third largest party in the assembly. Its share of seats increased to 13%.
