Japan’s plan to build 48 new coal-fired power plants contradicts global efforts to combat climate change

A union representing part-time lecturers at Waseda University announced that it agreed with the university to settle their labor dispute on condition that the university will withdraw its policy of dismissing part-time lecturers after five years of service.

LDP receives 700 million yen in donations as ‘reward’ from nuclear power industry

Corporations in the nuclear power industry in 2014 donated more than 700 million yen to the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, which is subservient to the industry’s demand to restart idled nuclear reactors and promote the export of nuclear technology.
