JCP Kami demands abolition of Trump-Abe trade deal

JCP lawmaker Kami said that the current Japan-U.S. trade deal, which was signed by former Prime Minister Abe under pressure from President Trump, should be terminated considering that Democrat Joe Biden will likely become the next U.S. president.

Shii criticizes China's foreign minister over Senkakus

JCP Chair Shii criticized Wang for shifting the responsibility for Chinese official ships' actions onto Japan, and said, "Chinese hegemonic acts are the biggest cause of the complicated situation and tensions around the Senkaku Islands."

US forces in Okinawa report record COVID-19 cases, but refuse to disclose quarantine locations

The Okinawa prefectural government announced that 72 coronavirus infection cases were newly confirmed among the U.S. forces stationed in the prefecture. This is the largest number of cases in a single day.
