Yamashita welcomed the delegation headed by VGCL Vice President Thai Thu Xuong. He referred to the 30th JCP Congress slated for January 2027 at which the draft amendments to the party Program will be discussed. He added that the draft stresses that the main characteristics and goal of a socialist/communist society are to ensure the improvement and flourishing of human freedom in every sense.
Yamashita explained that the draft Congress Resolution proposes policies, including establishing shorter working hours in combination with a substantial wage hike, with the aim of overcoming hardships in people’s livelihoods and building a society where people can live a decent life.
VGCL Vice President Thai said that she gained a clear understanding of the tasks set by the JCP 30th Congress and of the JCP’s hard work. She explained that the VGCL has achieved the results in its efforts to improve the working conditions and living standards of Vietnamese workers through engaging in collective bargaining, launching legal actions, and making legislative proposals to the parliament.
