    In an Akahata interview, Archbishop of Tokyo Okada Takeo said that people of faith are tasked to defend the war-renouncing Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution and that they share this initiative for peace with the Japanese Communist Party.

    Tokyo Electric Power Company, by imposing burdensome procedures on radiation-affected farmers, is paying out a lump sum of only 600,000 yen in damages for farm machinery which cost about four-five million yen each at the market price.
