JCP Koike attends ‘Europe Day’ reception

Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Koike Akira on May 14 attended a reception held in Tokyo by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan to celebrate Europe Day.

Europe Day is celebrated annually on May 9 to commemorate the Schuman Declaration, the starting point for European unity, which was announced five years after the end of WWII.

Koike extended a greeting to EU Ambassador to Japan Jean-Eric Paquet and had conversations with Japanese as well as foreign guests at the reception.
