\431 billion already spent for only 15% of landfill work for Henoko base project

The tax money used until the end of March 2022 for the planned construction of a new U.S. base in the Henoko district in Okinawa's Nago City has already amounted to 431.2 billion yen.

In the 19-member reshuffled Kishida Cabinet, 15 ministers including PM Kishida belong to either of the two pro-Yasukuni parliamentarians’ groups, the Japan Conference (Nippon Kaigi) Dietmembers’ Council and the Shinto Political League.

Climate parade takes place in Tokyo in solidarity with global Climate Week

In solidarity with global Climate Week, a parade and events calling for solutions to the climate crisis and for an end to nuclear power generation took place in Tokyo with about 8,000 people participating.
