Zenroren: Minimum wage hike to 1,500 yen is essential for workers to survive coronavirus crisis


Union activists of the National Confederation of Trade Unions (Zenroren) and independent unions gathered near the Labor Ministry office building, demanding that minimum hourly wages be increased to 1,500 yen across the nation so that workers can survive the ongoing virus crisis. On this day, the ministry's Central Council on Minimum Wage began discussions on its annual recommendation for a revision of regional minimum wages.(Jun. 26/2020, Tokyo)
