List of Past issues The UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, which Japan ratified, requires States Parties to take all appropriate measures to modify or abolish “customs and practices which constitute discrimination against women.” On November 25, the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, progressive women in Tokyo demanded an immediate end to the war and genocide in Gaza, as these are the ultimate forms of violence in international law.
